Since April of 2013, OAESV been organizing an annual Advocacy Day allowing Ohio survivors, advocates, and allies a chance to speak with law makers directly.

In April 2001, NSVRC organized the first officially recognized Sexual Assault Awareness Month, leading to greater recognition of sexual assault nationwide.

Originating in the 1960's, Take Back the Night is one of the most notable social movements to protest social violence.

Founded in 2006, the MeToo movement was created to help women of color find pathways to healing after sexual violence.

On a Wednesday each April, advocates & survivors wear denim to protest sexual violence and victim blaming.

It's On Us coordinates campus campaign chapters, encouraging college students to advocate for their rights and pledge to challenge social norms around sexual violence

Teal is the color recognized for sexual assault awareness. Wear it loud and proud!

Originating in 1990, this exhibit seeks to highlight the statistics behind power-based violence related deaths.

In 2013, The University of Arkansas asked survivors to share what they were wearing when sexually assaulted. in an effort to highlight victim blaming. Check out WSU's very own exhibit during SAAW!

The NOMORE symbol has become largely recognizable in the campaign against power-based violence due to their national campaigns.

In 2011, Toronto hosted the first Slutwalk in protest of rape culture. The movement has since become transnational.
